In around 100 days our quilt show will be under way! This is the 40th time the Black Hills Quilters Guild has produced a show for the public. It's a wonderful show, one of the largest in the northern plains, with over 500 quilts on display.

Quilted work can be entered in judged or non-judged categories, and cover all sizes and techniques of hand and machine stitching. Klaudeen Hansen will again be our judge, and ribbon awards will be on the quilts when the show opens. Viewer voting on Friday and Saturday will choose Best of Show and winners in the non-judged categories. The fee for a judged entry is $10.00 for BHQG members and $15.00 for non-members. Other entries are at no charge.

Quilts entered in the show must be registered by Tuesday, May 13, 2014. There is an online registration form, or the form can be copied and mailed. If you are entering in the judged division, your check must be received to complete the registration. Quilt check-in is Wednesday, June 11 from 10 am until 2 pm. Quilts can be picked up on Sunday, June 15 from 4:30 to 5:30 pm.

The show is June 13, 14, and 15 at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center, 444 Mt. Rushmore Road, Rapid City, SD. Show hours are 9 am to 5 pm Friday and Saturday, and 10 am to 4 pm on Sunday. Admission is $5 per day. Parking at the Civic Center is free.
